Welcome to HipsCripsQueers.com! By using our site, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

What These Terms Cover

These terms govern your use of our website and services on HipsCripsQueers.com.

Who Can Use This Site

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must provide accurate information
  • You can only have one account
  • You must follow our Community Agreements

Your Account

You're responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secure
  • All activity on your account
  • The accuracy of your profile information

Photo verification:

  • We use TinEye for reverse image search to block fake profiles

We can suspend or delete your account if:

  • You violate our Community Agreements
  • You harass other members
  • You provide false information
  • You're under 18
  • You engage in illegal activity

Suspension and ban process:

  • Reports are reviewed by moderators
  • Accounts may be automatically suspended if a moderator agrees there's a violation
  • You'll have an opportunity to participate in our resolution process
  • Final decisions are made by administrators

How Accounts Are Created

Signup Process:

  • You provide your email address and create a password (minimum 6 characters)
  • You confirm that you are 18 years of age or older
  • You agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  • You receive a confirmation email to verify your email address

Email Confirmation:

  • You must click the confirmation link in the email we send you
  • Your account is not active until your email is confirmed
  • If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us at info@HipsCripsQueers.com

Community Agreements:

  • After email confirmation, you must read and agree to our Community Agreements
  • You must demonstrate that you've read the agreements by finding hidden words within the text
  • This helps ensure all members understand our community values and expectations

Profile Creation:

  • You must create a basic profile with required information (display name, pronouns, birth year)
  • Once your basic profile is saved, you gain access to community forums
  • You can optionally unlock dating features to create a full dating profile
  • You can add photos to your profile (we use reverse image search to help prevent fake profiles)

Account Activation:

  • Your account is fully activated after you complete email confirmation, community agreements, and create your basic profile
  • You can use the site immediately after activation
  • You can update your profile at any time in your account settings

Community Agreements

Our Community Agreements are required reading and are part of these Terms of Service.

If you see violations, you can speak to the person about how you feel and/or report them to moderators. You can also request to take part in a restorative practice like a mediation or restorative circle.

If you violate the Community Agreements you might receive a warning, be asked to take part in a restorative practice, receive a suspension, or a permanent ban.

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Harass, bully, or threaten other members
  • Use hate speech or slurs (except reclaiming for yourself as outlined in Community Agreements)
  • Post illegal content
  • Spam or send unsolicited commercial messages
  • Scrape or copy site content with bots
  • Impersonate others
  • Share other people's private information

If you see violations, report them to moderators.

Content Ownership and License

You own your content (photos, posts, messages, bio).

By posting content, you grant us permission to:

  • Display it on the site
  • Store it on our servers
  • Show it to other members based on your privacy settings

You're responsible for:

  • Having the right to post your content
  • Not posting copyrighted material you don't own
  • Using content warnings as outlined in Community Agreements - perfection will not be expected for content warnings. If a moderator asks you to add one, please do.

We can remove content that:

Photo and Content Policy:

All photos and written content must comply with the following requirements:

  • Photos must show you clothed. No nudity (including exposed nipples on any gender, buttocks, or genitals). Swimwear, lingerie, and form-fitting clothing are fine.
  • Sexually explicit content is prohibited in profiles, photos, and public forum posts. This includes graphic descriptions of sex acts, solicitation for sex, and pornographic content.
  • You can discuss sexuality, attraction, relationship styles (including kink and polyamory), and general desires in your profile and in forums. However, graphic sexual descriptions and pornographic content are not permitted in public spaces. This policy exists due to payment processing requirements.
  • We celebrate all bodies and support open, sex-positive conversation within these boundaries.
  • Content containing nudity or sexually explicit material will be removed and may result in account suspension or termination.

Membership Tiers and Payments

Free tier: Access to community forums and basic profile

Paid tier: Full dating profile access with photos and enhanced features. The paid tier is a subscription of $20/month. Nobody is turned away for lack of funds. If you need financial assistance, please email info@HipsCripsQueers.com.

We may offer additional services such as workshops, one-time events, and other offerings. The fees for these services will be determined from time to time and are subject to change.

Payment processing:

  • Payments are processed securely through CCBill
  • We don't store your credit card information
  • If you're not satisfied with your paid membership, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial payment. After 7 days, no refunds are provided. Refunds are not available for accounts terminated due to Community Agreements or Terms of Service violations.
  • You can cancel your paid membership anytime in your account settings
  • If payment fails, your account may be downgraded to free tier until payment is updated

We can change pricing with 30 days notice to current paid members.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Safety and Disclaimer

This is an online community. We do our best to create a safer space, but:

  • We're not responsible for other users' behavior
  • We don't conduct background checks
  • If you meet someone in person, take standard safety precautions
  • We can't guarantee you'll find dates, friends, or relationships
  • We're not responsible for the accuracy of other users' profiles

Report concerns to moderators immediately if someone makes you feel unsafe.

Intellectual Property

The HipsCripsQueers.com name, logo, design, and code are our property. You can't copy, modify, or reuse them without permission.

We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service and its content. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content for operation of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

HipsCripsQueers.com is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

In no event shall Hips, Crips & Queers or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We're not liable for damages arising from your use of the site
  • We're not liable for other users' actions
  • We're not liable for service interruptions or technical problems
  • Our total liability to you can't exceed the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months

Termination

You can delete your account anytime in your settings. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We can terminate your account if you violate these Terms or Community Agreements. If we terminate your account:

  • You lose access immediately
  • No refunds for remaining paid membership time (if terminated for violations)
  • We may keep records as described in our Privacy Policy

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by California law.

If we have a dispute:

  • First, try to resolve it by contacting us at info@HipsCripsQueers.com
  • We will offer conflict resolution if all parties agree.
  • If that doesn't work, disputes will be resolved in California courts
  • You agree to California jurisdiction

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make significant changes:

  • We'll email you
  • We'll post a notice on the site
  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date

If you continue using the site after changes, you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
